School Zones – They keep our children safe – Understanding the signs & penalties
There are many ways you can help keep our children safe around school - correct use of the Kiss and Drop zones, slowing down to 40 km/hour in school zones and parking legally.
New signs have been installed in Boyle Street and Hill Street to remind drivers to put Safety First around school zones. There are also have two traffic wardens who operate the pedestrian crossing at the busy times each morning and afternoon during school terms.

Remember infringements notices and penalties apply for illegally parking in school zones and for driving over the speed limit.
School zones operate between 8:00am-9:30am and 2:30pm-4:00pm on school days. The speed limit is 40km in all school zones.
